SOCIAL EVENTS:
Monthly Meetings
The monthly meeting is usually held the first Saturday of every month. Non members are welcome to attend monthly meetings and pay the guest fee unless there is a specific members only meeting.

We have covered a wide variety of topics for our monthly meetings and they have been held at a number of different locations across the city. Examples of past meetings are: Talks on the history of Kolkata, Cooking demonstrations, fashion and beauty advice, life skills training, yoga workshops, cocktails lessons, and cultural talks themed around the many festivals and holidays of Kolkata and India.
We have welcomed many guest speakers, including well known personalities of Kolkata.

If you wish to contribute or suggest a venue that would be suitable for our meetings whether you are a member or non-member, please email us kolkatakiwc@gmail.com
Monsoon Ball
Tambola Charity Fundraiser
Another annual fundraising event, held in February, our members and their friends and families eagerly look forward to this fun night. We have lots fo prizes to be won, delicious food available for purchase and priceless smiles throughout the night.
All the proceeds from the event are used to support our charities
Cultural Talks and Tours
The KIWC has organized many cultural talks as part of the monthly meetings with the aim of providing those new to the city or new to India with some insight into cultural practices and traditions.
We have also arranged a number of tours including tours of The Marble Palace, Horticultural Gardens, the Governor's House and more recently a tour of North Calcutta.
We are always keen to hear if our members would like to learn more about the diverse and wonderful culture that we find ourselves in. If you would be interested in going on a tour with other KIWC members please email us at kolkatakiwc@gmail.com
Our annual fundraising event held at the height of the monsoon season, it is an evening of glamour, prizes, amazing food, entertainment and dancing. All funds raised go to KIWC's charities.
Open to members and non-members, the Monsoon Ball is an opportunity for KIWC members, friends and family to enjoy a night out

We are always looking for more Sponsorship from local businesses and if you are able to offer us any support then please email kolkatakiwc@gmail.com
Festive Family Events
As a club which aims to give support to international women who find themselves living in Kolkata, we try to provide an atmosphere of home and a support community.
We celebrate holidays and organize various celebrations which are often for our members only in order to allow families to meet each other and form their community
KIWC Book Club
The Book Club meets once a month at different locations around the city. We discuss the book of the month, catch up over a cup of coffee and pick a book to read for the following month. As we have a culturally diverse group, we have read books from around the world, learnt about new authors, cultures and traditions and explored new ways of thinking.
The Book Club hosts various authors and our members get a chance to get an in depth insight into the ideas behind the book.
Christmas Bazaar
The Christmas Bazaar is a way to bring our local NGO's, their work and their products to a wider demographic. It helps them to sell their handicrafts, food and other goods, which they produce. Over the years, the Bazaar has grown into a bigger event with Carol Singing, food, music and a visit from Father Christmas. It serves as a Christmas party for the KIWC members and their families.

The Bazaar is open to everyone and is usually the last Saturday in November. Should you know of a local NGO who would like to participate or if you are able to offer us some sponsorship for this event please get in touch with us kolkatakiwc@gmail.com
KIWC Travel Club
Still in the early aspect of its formation, we are fine tuning this section of the KIWC. Members have traveled together to various places around the state of West Bengal and even India. Trips generally happen once a quarter, depending on the members. A members only event, if you are a member, join us on our next trip
And More......
In addition to our meetings, fundraising and cultural events, the KIWC have also provided members other opportunities to meet and have fun. These have included ladies nights, luncheons, shopping tours, exhibitions and cooking classes.
If you have any ideas or you are interested in collaborating with the KIWC for their social events please contact us at kolkatakiwc@gmail.com
